Cotton Hill Lane

Cotton hill lane is based in rural Sligo overlooking mountains and forests in the North West of Ireland.

Paula the maker behind the brand, is self taught and started her clothing brand back in 2018 following on from a personal passion for sewing, started off from purchasing a sewing machine to alter a pair of curtains which she had purchased for her home.

Living in the countryside has inspired her work from the colour palette she uses in her fabric choices, to some of her animal hand drawn sketches like the fox and hare which have been seen right from her kitchen window.

Each piece of clothing is cut and sewn to order by Paula in her home studio.
Each piece is screen printed by Paula using eco friendly waterbased ink Permaset, which is an ink free of lead and toxic chemicals.
All dungarees and dresses have an embroidered patch of one of Paula's designs.

Cotton hill lane is a responsible brand following a made-to-order model.
Made-to-order means that clothes are made only when they are ordered. It is a more ethical and sustainable approach because there is no overproduction and reduces unwanted wastage. This means your order may take longer to reach you. She only uses natural fabrics including GOTS certified organic cotton, and okeo tex certificate fabric meaning it does not contain any harmful substances and is safe for sensitive skin so each piece is comfortable to wear and easily washable.

Her clothing are fun, simple timeless pieces made to be passed on when outgrown.
